Welcome to our website and thank you for your interest in Newpark Children's Centre. Newpark is a non-profit child care facility, offering high quality early education and child care since 1986. Newpark attained Charitable Status in 1992.
Newpark is licensed under the Child Care & Early Years Act, 2014 and meets all local and provincial fire, health and safety regulations. Newpark is operated by a Board of Directors. The Board of Directors determines the policies, budget, and fees for the Centre. Parents are welcome to join the Board of Directors.
Newpark has been a long-standing member of the Aurora-Newmarket community for over 35 years. In April 1986, Newpark Children’s Centre was incorporated as a non-profit organization and three months later, we opened our doors for the first time.
In 1993, the centre moved to its present location at 81 Industrial Parkway North in Aurora. The current location has 4 classrooms, an extensive Resource Library and a beautiful playground. The age groupings evolved to include Infants, Toddlers and Preschoolers. We offer part time programs in Toddler and Preschool.
Newpark Children’s Centre strives for continuous improvement. The caring dedication and professionalism of the staff is complemented by the even more welcoming environment that the centre has to offer.
At Newpark Children’s Centre we are very proud of our professional teaching team. The majority of our staff have been part of our team for between 10 and 35 years.
Our Registered Early Childhood Educators maintain a professional membership with the College of Early Childhood Educators. Ongoing professional development ensures that the teachers are well trained and informed of current trends and practices in the field of Early Childhood Education. All staff have current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis training and are continually learning and re-certifying as necessary.
Newpark Children's Centre is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of circumstance and ability. We aim to adhere as closely as possible to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0, Level AA), published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make Web content more accessible for people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines will help make the web more user friendly to everyone. Whilst Newpark Children's Centre strives to adhere to the guidelines and standards for accessibility, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website and we are currently working to achieve this. Be aware that due to the dynamic nature of the website, minor issues may occasionally occur as it is updated regularly. We are continually seeking out solutions that will bring all areas of the site up to the same level of overall web accessibility.
